Sell Modes

iBex has 3 sell modes which are set at individual room level, meaning you have precise control over how and when your rooms are sold

Instant confirmation.

Due to the integrated nature of iBex, your website reflects real time or near real time availability. This provides you with the ability to sell your rooms with instant confirmation, so for your guests it's just like booking a confirmed airline or theatre ticket online. Time and again, new iBex customers comment on the increased volume of business they receive when switching to instant confirmed bookings from an enquiry based system.

On Request.

This type of booking requires confirmation by a member of staff that the booking will be taken. Normally, most bookings would be instantly confirmed, but there may be scenarios where you would sell rooms 'on request':

Lead time. By setting a lead time of 1 day, all bookings made on the day of arrival will be "On Request" - no one can book and arrive the same day without confirmation that a room is available. This gives some properties the peace of mind that they have a cushion preventing them from having guests arriving when rooms are not ready. iBex allows you to set a lead time of up to 30 days, on a per - room type basis.

Threshold. By selling the last remaining room of each type as a request booking, properties with near real - time connections to their PMS, or those with a number of sales channels who are not using our channel manager can insure themselves against double booking. iBex allows you to set a threshold from 0 (all instantly confirmed) up to the total number of rooms of each type.

Upselling. iBex offers the opportunity to continue selling rooms 'On Request', even when they are all sold. The benefit being that you can offer a free upgrade from a single to a double if you only have a few single rooms. The request nature of this type of booking gives you the opprtunity to take view on the benefits of increasing your occupancy against selling the room at full price.

Stop Sell.

Once rooms are all sold, they are no longer available. You may also manually make rooms unavailable for sale within iBex.

Enquiries.

Whilst not strictly speaking a sell mode, iBex can collect most of the information required from the guest by way of an enquiry and then allow you to convert that enquiry into a booking simply by adding rooms to it once the guest is happy their enquiry has been answered. This saves time having to manually enter all the information again.
